[00:00:05] She reached into the package and was overwhelmed by what she saw a black apron with hot pink piping and the words will cook for shoes embroidered on the bib. She was speechless. The ladies looking back at her had no idea that only moments before she had been daydreaming about that very apron.

[00:00:52] Tanya Raw love shoes or, as she says, shoes, shoes and shoes, she also loves aprons. In fact, you could say that she probably needs separate closets just for shoes and aprons. Tanya and her husband, Devin, are known as the funny members of the ministry team at the Assembly in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. They're associate pastors and lead the Sunday morning Bible studies on families. A week or two before Christmas, Tanya was given two gifts. Both were aprons from two dear friends, Kay and Alana, she said. One was the cutest pink and white striped apron, reminding me of a candy striper smock. Remember those? She says that when she was a girl, she used to volunteer as a candy striper at the hospital, delivering flowers and newspapers to patients. The uniform had pink and white stripes reminiscent of a candy cane. The apron Kay gave me had a perfect quote embroidered on the front bib. It said We'll cook for shoes and along the bottom at red lots and lots of shoes, she laughs. The only trouble was the apron felt a little too short. Now, the second apron from Lorna was black with white polka dots. It fit perfectly. It had white piping along the bottom and on the pocket was her initial R.. It was way too cute, she said. She graciously thanked Kay and Lana and added the new aprons to her collection. The following December, again, just before Christmas, Tanya and Devin were heading to church as they rode along Tanya's mind for some reason flashed back to those two aprons.
[00:02:51] She had now favored both of them for an entire year. This is what she pictured. I thought about my white and pink one. And how cute it was, and then I thought about my black one and how well it fit and how I like the piping as they drove. She fantasized, wouldn't it be wonderful if I could put the two aprons together? I'd take the black and white apron with the piping and meld it with the pink and white one, adding the funny quote about the shoes. Poof. As quickly as that thought had entered her mind, it vanished. She and Devin had arrived at the church and were entering the back door. There was her friend, Marlin, waving her into the kitchen. A group of ladies were gathered there and they all hugged. Marlin, then reached behind her and handed Tanya a small bag. This is for you from mom and me. Merry Christmas! Now, Tanya knew that Marlon's mother was a talented seamstress. Oh my! She said, looking at the package. Thank you. She loves surprises, and this surely counted as one. She reached into the package and was overwhelmed by what she saw a black apron with hot pink piping and the words will cook for shoes embroidered on the bib. She was speechless. The ladies, looking back at her had no idea that only moments before she had been daydreaming about that very apron.
[00:04:33] She said later it flashed through my mind that I had never before thought about combining my pink and black aprons. Yet here I was, holding my fantasy in my hands, including the quote about the shoes with a smile and a twinkle in her eyes. Tanya adds that, my friends is a Godwink in her heart of hearts.
